The Discover France!
Forum is a free service for all visitors to our web site! Students of
French language and culture, educators, parents, prospective travelers, and all other
francophiles are encouraged to avail themselves of this resource.
It is our policy at
this time that postings in our Forum be made in English. However, there may
occasionally be instances where a French word would better describe a place, a
sentiment, an object, etc.; in such cases, the rule will not be strictly enforced,
as long as our English-speaking visitors can follow the context of the thread.
Naturally, it is expected
that subjects discussed here pertain in some way to France, its culture, language,
history, attractions, customs, etc. Anyone who wishes to pursue topics unrelated to France
should look to the Internet for other forums or newsgroups. For the sake of our other
visitors, please respect this guideline. Also, all participants must read and consent to
our "User Agreement" before
proceeding to the Forum.
The Discover France!
Forum is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Consequently, you may wish to
contact your friends and arrange to meet here at certain predetermined time(s) of your
choosing.
Educators (and officers
of school French clubs) are encouraged to contact us, if
you would like to set aside a
time block or dedicated "room"/folder for special presentations or topical discussions.
Likewise, we are interested in hearing from anyone who would like to moderate a discussion
in their area of expertise. Just send your request and details on the topic to the
webmaster, and we will post your subject and time(s) on
the Bulletin Board or on a dedicated
page devoted to your club's activities (see note below).
[ Dedicated pages are free
(subject to reasonable bandwidth limitations/webmaster discretion) for accredited educational
institutions, upon request. A world wide web URL will be assigned to your group for easy
access by both members and the general public. ]
Check back often to see what
special topics are
featured this month!
